Chilliwack BC. A lot of fun trails, could explore there for weeks. Bottomed out few times, suprised that my exhaust pipe is still intact:D Will try to get a video from my dash cam later.

yes, you can ride the green trails and some blue trails but to make it to the top you'll need 4wd

    LED Fogs, LED Interior/exterior kit,
Camped at Bowman lake for 4 days and had a killer time. Explored tons of trails, some very deep into Tahoe national forest. Ran across a few obstacles I didn’t think my stock Taco could take but it handled everything with ease! Made it through some extremely tight trails big rocks, and cliff sides with about 6 inches to spare on each side. Such a blast!

Now I am even more excited to begin seriously modding and see how much more capable this thing can be!

Also, shocked at how much the off-road goodies actually helped. Multi Terrain Select is a gift from the gods. It really makes a noticeable difference in ride quality over rough roads! Spent about 4 hours on pavement over the time there so really got to test all the cool tech!

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Whereabouts on Vancouver Island? I commercial salmon trolled for 15 seasons on the island. All west coast, from Uke to the north end of the island.

More searching for lake access, stymied again. There are 4 lakes that show as trail access or hike in only. A lot of narrow ATV trails at best. Spent a few hours with cut polish next day for a bunch of deep scratches, but nope they are here to stay.

Thought I had found a route to one lake, but 2 high berms kept me out. One berm in photo was fine, but bottomed out on the other. Roads in are slow go, about 20 deep washouts during the day, but just bumper dragging so no issues. I expect those berms were put there to keep fishermen out, so that will be my first hike-in with belly boat as I expect the fishing will be good. As usual no other trucks or people and you can't beat quiet and solitude. Saw 2 doe's and one buck but too fast for me to get a pic. Lots of moose tracks and moose droppings at every spot I stopped. Hunting would be good up there. Other than the moose and deer are pretty wily and once hunting season starts they sure disappear.

I'm more of a river angler but love your style! Sadly for me, most of my backwoods access to get away from people lead to smaller creeks, but still fun and a good excuse to scout for elk while I'm out.

if you are up in BC once we are past COVID, go to Skagit river get a CDN fishing license. Turnoff is Silver Hope road just a few miles south of Hope BC. Catch and release only, for 12 - 20 inch rainbows. Best in September. All wild fish never stocked. Large Dollies too. Low fishing pressure as you have to do a lot of bush walking to get in, but about 20 miles of fishable river to wade once you reach the river. Endless 6 - 15 foot deep pools shaded by overhanging firs. Heaven on earth, my favorite river in BC. Don't need waders that time of year but bring LOTS of bug and bear repellent. Can wade the river in shorts and some beatup running shoes. I have had theriver to myself on many trips.

Appreciate the intel - the Skagit has been on my list for a while now and will definitely plan a trip up next year once the border opens up. Tight lines until then.
