A @relkins0413 Porter. This is tasty. It’s pretty light but has a nice light roasty back end to finish it off.

This has been my favorite beer this summer.

 

Just in case any one needs to know for the future I thought I’d document it here.

Robinsons brewery in the UK use a weird date system for the US market as seen in the bottom of the can. (L9084)

From the brewery, “The code example that you have sent us was packaged on the 84th day of 2019. L denotes lot, 9 denotes 2019 and 084 denotes the 84th day.”

From what I’ve discovered from the WWW is that when beer is imported to the states it’s given a weird code (even though the same bottle/can destined for the Uk market has a regular date) so that it’s more difficult to decipher and hence if it’s out of date the buyer is less aware and the beer gets sold. Correct me if I’m wrong?

 

I used to talk a lot of shit on this brewery, but they’ve hammered out their canning and/or yeast issues and this is fantastic. Blackberry Pie @ 8%. Thick.

 

One of my all time favorites, Voodoo Brewing “Good Vibes”

 

I wasn’t a fan of it at their festival last year. I think my buddy has some in Erie that I’ll be trying next weekend.. and possibly a BRC release from their cellar room if they release.

Hymn of Nelson Ghost Town Brewing

A lovely golden liquid that exudes enticing aromas of Riesling must, guava, and kiwi.
