1985 Ford-250

My dad is looking at this 1985 Ford-250. What do you guys think of this rust? Is it worth it?

 

Looks like somebody just spray painted over a bunch of rust. Definitely does not look good, but depends on what he is trying to do with it, what area of the country you are in (what to expect), and how much he is paying.

Doesn't look great IMO, but not the worst. Leaf springs and drums can be easily replaced. How is the frame?

 

According to Toyota that looks totally fine

 

It’s in Indiana, the guy wants $18k and vehicle has 19k original miles. I tried posting a video to show the rust to a better extent but it wouldn’t post.

 

I'm guessing it is the below truck. Exterior/interior looks nice but i'd expect better for 18k. They don't show any of the rust or undercarriage in the listing. I didn't realize these things got that expensive.
