    Hey everyone,
    Got a 2019 TRD sport 4x4 DCLB
When I first got this truck just over a year ago everything worked great but maybe up till 6 months ago, I’ve been having Bluetooth issues...Music works flawlessly through either Spotify or Apple Music. I have an IPhone XS Max. So the issue is with phone calls ONLY. I can have a call last from 1 min-3 min. It will disconnect from the truck system and say call ended on the dash but direct back to the phone making it a handheld or talk through the phone speaker. Or it will just end the call in general! WTF! I’ve lost multiple phone calls, business calls etc. sometimes I’ll have to wait to get to a stoplight to shut the truck off & turn it back on to re-connect. I’ve taken the truck to Toyota 4 times & they did perform a software update for the trucks system, also my phone is up to date on the software. I’ve checked every box off on the list of possible troubleshooting. Helps that my wife works for the phone carrier as well. Toyota basically said you’re SOL on this till Apple figures it out, but I’ve also read that Apple is saying it’s a Toyota issue. The dude at Toyota said it’s an issue with Nissan & Honda’s as well. Sounds like it’s just going in circles. There’s no reason we should be having an issue with Bluetooth calls in a late model truck & when Bluetooth is a basic feature now-a-days...just frustrating.

I’m also new to this forum so if I posted this in the wrong thread sorry.

I have the exact same issue - except my calls last 10-15 minutes...Apple Music works without issue - I do business from my truck and till about 3-4 months ago (maybe longer) I would be on calls for an hour or more. I'm now just putting my phone on speaker and using it that way. I have an iPhone X (also up to date with all updates). My unit in the truck is updated also.

I also started having these issues including the low audio volume while using bluetooth audio, yes i have done all the changes in settings. I am not sure if it was caused by the ios update or the new entune update because I started having these issues right after both of those updates and they were done around the same time. 2018 OR.

When I first got the truck & set everything up I downloaded the Entune app on my phone I wasn’t a big fan of it so I just deleted it off my phone...pretty mush BS that we spend X amount of dollars on a truck & that’s an issue.
Some even say to go in Bluetooth settings & remove synced contacts But that didn’t work either. Don’t really understand how that would affect the connection wether you have names attached or not but doesn’t matter.

It also changes the name on my phone from what I have the trucks Bluetooth connection named as to CarAccessorySystem

Same issue here as well. You would think with everyone having same issue there would be a solution by now. #firstworldproblems

Had a first yesterday. Made a phone call while my music was playing. Ended the call & the music wouldn’t play. Almost like it got frozen. Couldn’t skip the song no controls worked either... even my hangup & pickup button on the steering wheel didn’t work

Don't have an iPhone so I don't have the issue but I would suggest as step 1 for troubleshooting: deleting the iPhone profile from the trucks saved Bluetooth memory and deleting the trucks profile from the phones saved Bluetooth memory and then reconnect them. Probably won't work or everyone would have figured it out already but it's always good to start with the basic "turn if off and back on" when troubleshooting electronics.

Just updated my iPhone XS Max to the ios 13.6 from 13.5...turned my phone off once completed & turned back on....Just had a 17 minute phone conversation while driving with no issues...hopefully this means the issue is fixed & wasn’t a fluke ha!

I updated to the new 13.6 iOS and it seems to have fixed the issues.

If you have the Entune app installed on your phone try deleting it and see if your problems go away. It seems like the latest update caused so many issues. I was experiencing lower than normal Bluetooth volumes and random decreases in volume until I uninstalled it. Then it all started working again! Best of luck.

Unfortunately I tried this and no luck. Uninstalled the Entune app, deleted my phone from the truck and vice versa. Rebooted phone, went for a drive, and my Bluetooth still constantly disconnects. This all just started in the past few weeks. First six months with the truck, no bluetooth issues whatsoever.
