First off i’m new to lifted trucks and learning as I go. I bought a lifted 03 double cab 2wd. It has a 6 inch fabtech lift and currently stock tires and wheels. I noticed a lot of play in my driveshaft at the carrier bearing area. I also have a grinding noise at some speeds and angles (Not sure if noise is related). I plan to replace bearing with OEM one I found on ebay for 100$ as I have heard the aftermarket ones suck. My main question is “should I install a center bearing drop kit?” I have also read that you should match the angles of the middle and rear U joints so that they are the same degrees. I haven’t measured them but I’m guessing it is extreme with a 6 inch lift. Since I’m going to be taking it apart anyway, should I just put the spacer kit in or should i try it without first, and then install it if I have issues, or if the new bearing wears out fast. Any and all input and advice is much appreciated.
