Had tpms on my 2nd gen. Only had the sensors in my winter tires in stock rims, which were in my garage during the summer time. My truck would be parked in front of the garage and it would read the sensors on the winter tires during summer. When i drove away, it took about 30 minutes for the tpms light to come on. So how is this a lifesaving system if it takes 30 minutes for the light to come on from when all 4 sensors are miles away from the truck.

If anything i wished tacoma would use the ABS sensors to determine tire presssure like almost all european vehicles. No wheel sensors and works with any wheel/tire set up.

Also a lot of people dont realize that only in the US is it mandatory for vehicles to have TPMS, here in canada some tacoma models dont have it. My 2017 TRD Sport doesnt have it for example.
