The new Stance looks like a good setup. I have just a few questions (for now).
    1) how durable/secure will the little bungee cords and hooks be holding that in the final fold position and driving around at highway speeds?
    2) how permanent/secure are those pieces you have to stick on the top of the cab? Can they be removed without damaging the paint?
    3) will this mount using the stock rails in the Tacoma, or do we have to remove and clamp like in the video?

Looking forward to seeing some reviews here.

Sorry for the long wait. I will get a proper review posted. To answer your questions.

    1) how durable/secure will the little bungee cords and hooks be holding that in the final fold position and driving around at highway speeds? I haven't driven on the highway with this up yet. The bars that connect the cover to the roof are steel, the roof brackets have powerful magnets in them to hold the bar down over the post on the roof bracket. If I had to guess the magnets have a #10-15 pull force.
    2) how permanent/secure are those pieces you have to stick on the top of the cab? Can they be removed without damaging the paint? These are adhered with pre-applied 3m mounting tape, a primer stick is include as well. I don't think there would be damage in removal, I imagine it is similar to removing the factory emblems.
    3) will this mount using the stock rails in the Tacoma, or do we have to remove and clamp like in the video? This uses the Tacoma rails for install just like the regular lomax tri fold

Thanks. For #1 I was actually thinking more about when it was folded back and bungeed to the little clips at the end, before it’s tilted up against the rear window.

I don't think it would flip up at all, the airflow at speed should be going around it for the most part. The bungees are on both sides and seem durable.

Thanks. I’ll have to think about it a bit. I don’t usually need to fill the whole bed, but when the need arises, I’d like to do so without taking the cover off. I’m just not sure about adhering those hooks to the top of the truck. I wish they had gone with support posts like the Bakflip.

First off love the ideas I just bought a lowmax from truckalterations.com and had a question. It seems the tailgate closes pretty tight now and is hard to open with the cover installed, anybody else have this issue or a fix???

My tailgate closes more snugly now. But it for sure opens and closes properly. I did burn a fair bunch of cash on a mountain hatch so that probably helps ensure full descent of the tailgate once unlatched.
Want to post a video of yours so we can see it in action?

I can't figure out the video deal, all I can describe is that when you go to open the tailgate you definitely pull harder than I expect, and closing it seems to rub against the top of the tailgate and move it a little bit.

I would think the tailgate being snug would be a good thing. Keep it tight for water resistance, as well as prying hands and eyes trying to see what's in your bed. I suppose a coat hanger can still get in there and help someone open the cover if they really want in. Maybe find a way to attach something like I've seen people do on other covers to block access to that pull cord so people can't slip a hook in there.

Now that's a video I'd want to watch, how to open a locked tacoma bed with lomax cover. You'd be flying blind with that coathanger... I bet there are people who can do it though, probably only need to pop one corner to get to the cord.

Easiest robust locking option would be a 2nd set of the carabiner setup that is employed at the front for full rear lockdown. That'd be a nice option to offer and probably not much work to fabricate. But it's far more likely that anyone motivated enough would just go for a crowbar, breaker bar or sledgehammer to get the job done here so...

If someone really wants in, and they think you put a fancy cover on to keep your fancy stuff safe, they will put in the time & effort to try to get to your stuff. What do they care if they fly blind? If there's a chance to get it open, and they don't care about damaging stuff that''s not theirs, they'll give it a shot.

So I found the solution. Contacted the company and turns out the rear brackets that came with my Lomax were incorrect. The new ones are wider and raised the cover enough for it to still deal but not be so tight its a pain to open.
Great response and awesome doing business with those guys!

Just installed my Matte Black Lomax Tonneau Cover tonight. Absolutely love it. Got it from @GotExhaust for an awesome price. Received it unscathed and super fast. Took all of about an hour to install.

That looks amazing! I have a 2020 TRD Off-road Access cab (6 ft bed) and would like to get one of these! :) I'm new to TacomaWorld. I'd like to get a quote from the guy you purchased it from. Thanks!

Just installed mine this evening. Love the low profile look of it. It wasn't difficult to install took about an hour.
Couple things I noticed. It seems best to be sure the cover is latched before closing the tailgate. The tailgate takes just a bit more effort to close against the seal on the back of the cover, not a big deal but I noticed it. Overall seems easy to open and operate.
The cover isn't exactly feather light but I was able to handle it alone when placing it on the first time. It would be easier with two people. The seals seem tight, not tested it with water or rain yet.
Did I mention that it looks great
