I have a 2015 TRD OR Access Cab with a towing package. I monitor transmission temps with a ScanGauge II

I’ve pulled a Jayco 19H behind it since new. There have been a dozen times or more over the years when the flywheel temp has reached 230 or so. It’s usually for only a minute or two and then it drops down again after the hill. The pan has rarely, if ever gotten that hot.
So, I just upgraded to a Derale 52506 cooler, replacing the stock one. I did the install myself and did not not lose any coolant while making the change. The new one is bigger and I didn’t add any new/extra fluid yet.

I plan to take it to Toyota for a transmission flush (I’m at 56k miles) and assume they’ll put in the proper amount to accommodate the new cooler.

    my question is...
can I be driving it around like it is for a couple weeks until I can get in for a flush? Could I even tow the camper the way it is now?

    thanks in advance

I'd be really careful towing low on ATF. Could you take it to a quick-lube place that uses the transmission lines to replace the fluid? That's what I did when I installed my ATF cooler on my old Forester. They just needed to add a little more ATF once it was done filling.

I added a quart and then followed the steps to bring the transmission up to temp and then drained a little extra to get to the right amount. All set, and now I’ll likely just drain and fill myself sometime this fall.
