Hey all, my first post. Yep its true. If i have the "special" oil the price jumps up around 500 %. Oh yeah, it states they need to get truck into service area to determine which oil. I got out of there as quick as possible. We spoke about the CRC treatment. Told me 10 hours to get it done
(if needed). I said lets do that whole thing another day. Well just reviewed the half arse estimate and it claims "denies campaign." I did not deny it i just said another day. Does this mean they will try and say "Nope you had your chance."

710 is "OIL" upside down and backwards.

Did you lose your 710 cover?

Dealership wants either 189.95 or 710.00 to change oil in the differential.

Does "declined campaign" mean i opted out on CRC recall service?

Go to another dealer or indie shop for the differential oil change, or DIY. $710 is probably just a huge upsell for synthetic oil, kinda like charging $400 for iridium spark plug change vs. $200 for basic "copper" plugs. 5 quarts of synthetic 75W140 from your local parts store typically cost less than $100.

Dealership said CRC treatment takes 10 hours. Its the recall for rust. CRC is used if needed. Their dime.

The CRC treatment takes a long time if done per the instructions from Toyota. The dealer is supposed clean the boxed section of the frame with a rectangular brush and cleaner, then there is a dryer that drys the moisture, followed by the application and frame plugs. Without treatment, you give up the extended frame replacement coverage.
