Hey guys! Long time reader, first time poster. I have a 2019 Toyota Tacoma 6-speed manual that I recently installed a Hurst Core short throw shifter which is awesome for other than the noise it make while accelerating, it almost sounds like a suction line but I have the breather hose pushed all the way into the barbed fitting. I'm not sure if anyone else has done this mod before and if so do you also have this noise? It's not really a deal break since having music at a reasonable level tones it out, I was thinking it might be normal due to the OEM shifter having a rubber isolator on the shifter rod itself to keep heat/noise from traveling up it and being amplified by the shifter knob itself!

    this and that...
youre gonna hear way more noise now that youre running a core. i love the mechanical whine mines makes. its not even too loud if im being honest, just more audible when the stereo is off. just the nature of the beast for running shifting superiority. i would take that added noise, for more crisper, more precise, and more engaging shifting. tell me im wrong! lol

Welcome to the brotherhood of Core shifter folk!
    We're all a little shifty! :D
The slight noise doesn't bother me either.

Never thought I would say this to other guys but NICE KNOBS! , I think I'm having a leak. It's less of a whine and more of a leak sound. I can very faintly hear the whine you are talking about and that part sounds awesome! Im going to do the final wiring for my heated seats tomorrow so the dash will be apart anyways and I'll check to make sure everything is seated properly.
