Generally removing and replacing used splined bolts is not recommended, has nothing to do with balancing so yes you are wrong.

That said I'm not really sure why they went splined bolts on the output flange for the t case and front diff. I don't really see a problem just tightening it up and running it.

There was a tsb about weighted bolts on driveshafts somewhere on this site for minute balancing

The bolt and nut would weigh different from a stud and nut thus throw off the Ballance in theory

Putting the same nut and bolt 180 degrees away would even it out

A fix, two upgrades and some PM. Replaced the broken latch links on the xtra cab windows, did the Honda washer nozzle upgrade, replaced the OEM headlight bulbs and replaced the differential breather.

Well I think I found out my front drivers side vibration today.20200803_162912.jpg

Looks like its time for a ECGS bushing, came at a right time because I was going to tear apart the front anyway.
Anybody have the bearing puller i can buy/borrow?

I replaced mine along with front end components and it totally eliminated my vibes completely. If you can’t find anyone locally with tool let me know. I didn’t even have to trim mine or anything to get the bushing out

Cross member redemption in progress. Welds getting slightly better, under certain circumstances. Welding at angles is still pretty messy for me.
