I am interested In purchasing some new tires, probaly something more rugged. I’ve been Looking at BFg ko2’s for my 07 4 cylinder Tacoma. I’m conflicted on what size to get for it because it is a 4 cylinder. 245/75 r16 is what is on it right now. I’m looking at 265/70 r16, 265/75 r16 or 255/85r16. I am really Interested in the 255/85s because of the sidewalk height. I am curious how each tire would effect the vehicle since it is only a 4 banger. I’m not sure how to compare the 3 sizes in terms of weight, rolling resistance, and the rotations due to distance from axel to edge of tire, and how these 3 things will effect mileage, and performance. Some help would be greatly appreciated.

Tire weight is an easy comparison and can kill MPG. Weight will vary for the same tire +- depending on 112 vs 121 metric and C vs E load etc. Higher the tire weight then expect lower MPG.

"Best" all depends on what you use it for. In my 09 4 cyl 4x4 I decided on 235/85/16 Wildpeak AT3w's. I still get 22 mpg (hand calculated since I got the tires 1500 miles ago) and they are great for the light to moderate off roading that I've done while still being daily driver friendly.
