Dr John Bergman from HB has always been good to me and been watching his stuff for years. He doesn't agree with so called mainstream experts who now label him a quack ..lol. He's just a chiro but I'll still take his advice over skeletor and scarf lady and his quauckery has my back in no more pain for like 8 years now. Meanwhile a buddy that got cut on is still a walking stiff in pain.

Blood sugar is a bitch. Been studying mine for over a year. I cycle insulin too, so imagine how fun that is. (for performance). Yesterday, fiance brought up some dumb ass discussion as we left the gym. It's 30 mins or so home. Usually I'm fine with blood sugar for 1 hour post gym.

I told her Idk why that matters to her (it was so off topic not relevant) and I said to her in the discussion I'm sorry I'm adjusting right now with my other isolation of drugs. Hormones are shifting around as I came off some shit. No, she continued to argue. I immediately got dizzy and cold af and sweaty. I knew exactly what happened. I throw my sugar levels off during AN ARGUMENT and activated the insulin quicker. It was horrible. I didn't say anything because then I'm labelebed as I'm using it as an excuse. By time I was home I had to eat honey since that's quickest shit I have on hand.

Anyway, tldr blood sugar can fuck u up

Careful with the slin hoss....that’s the only performance drug that actually scares me. I would rather double my test and other stuff than add slin in unless I was aiming to get absolutely monstrous.

Not preaching or anything just hope you’re careful is all.

    Be well.

Anyone get headaches while lifting? Not sure if it’s a caffeine withdrawal thing or what but recently it’s almost a constant in the middle of a workout. Piss is clear so it’s not a hydration thing.

    Truth lol

    Don’t wanna get the Diabetus

I rarely get headaches ever. Had one on my run this morning. Was the result of not hydrating properly and having two beers last night.

So I’m having two beers tonight. Hopefully that helps.

That is not the issue with slin. Insulin is the most anabolic hormone going when used correctly, but when used incorrectly it’s also the only one that will kill you on the spot.

    Oh I’m aware of that.

It also must be tricky to use (outside if it causing death) for physique because while insulin is incredibly anabolic to muscle tissue its equally anabolic to fat tissue.

I hear ya brother, it's dangerous. I've been using it on an off for over a year. It doesn't scare me, but I respect it. I know my body very, very well. I think Halo scares me more at this point. Have a bag sitting there and I just keep staring at it.

My blood sugar runs very high (actually pre diabetic) when I run a certain amount of HGH for a period of time. Mornings I am between 105-115mg/dl which is when I start nearing that range I run it for awhile to bring me back down. Gives the ol' pancreas a break.

I only get headaches on var or if my BP is just too high. Or the obvious caffeine cleanse... Like 3 days into 0 caffeine it hits me.

14 miler planned this morning. Hubs was gonna cut it off at a max of 12 then meet me later.

I made a mistake pushing the pace too hard on our last 13 miler so it ended up being a miserable last 5k for him. I think scared him out of the long runs.
I kept the pace slower this time. At mile 11 he said he’d agree to do the 14 with a couple walk breaks.

We did no walk breaks and the full 14 :D!

I’m so happy I turned my favorite person into my long run buddy :yay:

Solitude running is great but its more fun with someone else.

Storming like nuts this morning. Did 6 miles on the TM. Lift this PM.
Have a 50 mile week this week (already 19 in). This will be my first 50 mile week since 2013 :D

My challenge this week is going to be eat more. 3000/day.

I wanted to shave a few lbs of fat off to get back where I was pre-surgery, so I was trying to go for a minor deficit/recomp. This is the first time my eyes have been opened to weight loss while truly training. It's totally different than weight loss while just exercising.

If you are not getting what you body needs it pretty much just shuts down. Theres really no such thing as trying to run much, if any deficit.

It's so odd. If I do want to lose a few lbs of fat for my ultra, I feel like I'm going to have to exercise less so that I can lose weight o_O

I now get why all the big coaches/experts really emphasize running no caloric deficits at all in training. Whole new world. Kind of interesting to find that out. Alex Viada in an interview I listened to was like this isn't a fucking physique competition, it's an Iron Man! EAT!
    I get it now.

I’m running a caloric deficit right now and on week 7 of a strength program and every lift is going up while leaning out. I did the same thing last year during my cut.

I’ve also run caloric surpluses while strength training too, but then I’m just fat and (slightly) stronger

Just out of curiosity what does your weekly program look like? Are you training more than once a day?

Genuinely curious, not challenging anything. I've done the same and normally have had no issues running deficits while in a strength program. But what I'm doing now is far more activity above and beyond what I have ever done.

I'm trying to be very deliberate and careful in my tracking so I can figure out what to play around with if I come across any issues in my routine. I was trying to run a very minor deficit on run days (like 200 cal deficit), so I don't think I was making the mistake of running too large of a deficit. So I shouldn't be thinking I'm running a 200 calorie deficit but really I'm running 1,000.

I notice it the most on lift days. I'll do great starting the session and then I just die halfway through and as a result my motivation to push more weight lowers. Then I pretty much just become a zombie the rest of the evening. I'm starting with the main barbell moves and I'm trying to push the intensity on those lifts as much as I can (obviously this is only upper body, I can't push intensity on lower body). I'm putting fourth the max effort on those compound moves expecting to see a difference as I get further in, but the only way I can describe it is I'm fatiguing mentally as much as physically. I should be able to push 10% more but I'm not. Hard to describe.

I'm trying to adjust by eating more, because I do think that is an issue but also focus on getting most of my daily cals prior to my lifting sessions. I tend to eat a lot less in the beginning of the day (less than 50% of my daily) and then eat more at night and I don't think that is mixing well with my goals either.

Maybe I'm fucking up somewhere else.
