Probably not at this time. The amount of customers that would want that(or lack thereof) probably wouldn’t justify the added cost increase to add additional connectors. The good news is since my harness is removable, the customer could splice their own connector outside the car so you won’t alter the OEM wiring.

@MESO or anyone that could recommend where one that’s lacking and technical skills to find both of the plugs to make something so that one doesn’t have to tap into any wires at all.

Something like this would be fine. Just tap the 2 wires into my total tail harness (ground - and brake +) then the other end you can make an extension that goes up to a camper shell light

@MESO thanks for the help and the information I do really appreciate it. I’m really trying to avoid tapping into any wires from your kit or the OEM ones. Once you go Tapping into the wires you void your warranty and the OEM warranty which I do not want to do. I’m going to get some of those plugs and see what I can come up with. If anyone has done something like this please chime in. Thanks again Meso!!!!!

keep in mind that even if you do tap the OEM wires, the only warranty you void is on those specific wires and the subsequent lights behind them. Since you'll have MESO lights in there, that is already null.

Since I'm probably going to get a topper myself here soon, I've been thinking about that as well. I hate cutting/splicing into my factory wiring! I was thinking of picking up a trailer light kit for Tacomas, like this one, and then you could just have the installers use the taillight T-harness/insert piece to splice into for the topper's third brake light. (Hopefully that makes sense, having hard time wording it for some reason.)

Annoying to spend $60 just for that T-harness and throw the rest away basically, but not sure how easy it would be find just that T-harness by itself anywhere else. And if I'm already going to spend $2000+, what's another $60, right?!

Just splice into my harness. It’s cheaper hacking into the OEM and you can’t really void my warranty.

Now that’s what I’m talking about.
I knew there had to be a way to do it without cutting any wires.
    @deusxanime Thank a lot...

NP, I understand not wanting to splice into factory wiring! I was racking my brain trying to figure out a way to have them be able to tap into the brake light without splicing and it hit me that trailer lights need that as well, so a trailer light kit would have a brake wire that could be tapped into. Then it was just a matter of finding one that is a plug-and-play style and would have the T-harnesses already built out.

I'm going to install the OEM tailgate auto-lock kit also before I get the topper, so that they can splice into that to have the topper rear window lock/unlock with the key fob too. That way at worst it is just the ~$100 tailgate lock kit wiring that gets messed up and not the truck's factory wiring. Not sure if you were thinking of getting that installed as part of yours as well, but just in case it is a bonus.

Need to get that done and then get my topper ordered soon! Summer is running out quickly and I want it all done by fall.

My 5 amp panel fuse keeps popping every time I go to turn on my lights. It’s the fuse responsible for the climate controls backlighting. I’m wondering if this has anything to do with the tail light kit.

So I installed MESO puddle pods a couple months ago and thought I heard a fuse pop when I went to start my truck after install. Tried searching for what popped and could never find but everything seemed to work fine. I hardly ever drive my truck at night (especially now without going out to dinner or happy hour or anything) and noticed the climate control/stereo lights, and auto dim on the screen are not working. Was wondering what fuse made all this work. I’ll try and replace and report back:thumbsup:

Doh, I just spent my current truck money on getting struts put together and that coil hitch skid group buy.... well, it’s ok, I’m interested in seeing the stage 2 version 2!

I just dug around last night and discovered that it is indeed the puddle pods causing the fuse to pop. It’s a small 5 amp fuse on the inside of the truck in the fuse box under the drivers side of the dash labeled “panel”. I’ve changed the fuse 20 times and every time I go to turn the Lights on it pops. It only started happening a week ago but i’ve had the pods installed for about 2 maybe 3 months.

if you've had them installed for 2 or 3 months and it's only just now starting to pop fuses, then it ain't the puddle pods. You might have a wiring short somewhere or maybe some insulation got cracked or chewed up or got water in it. definitely worth looking into, but I have a feeling you're going to have to dig a little deeper. Electrically issues are never that simple :D

I tore the whole car apart last night. radio out, tail lights out, headlights disconnected, etc. and the only time the fuse pops is when the puddle pods are connected to power. Thought maybe the switch was bad so I took it out of the equation and nope. It only happens when the wiring harness for the puddle pods itself is plugged into the oem plug. If i go oem to oem the lights don’t work but no fuse pops. So thankfully it’s not the oem wire harness that’s bad. I don’t know why this only started happening out of the blue.

Hmm... I was thinking since they had been in for several months and nothing popped that it couldn't be them. Is there any kind of moisture inside the puddle pods?

I didn’t check the lights themselves. I’ll have to do that. But it’s most certainly the puddle pods causing this issue.
