So I bought a TRD Pro knob from my local Toyota dealer and I notice that with the new knob the boot comes off fairly easily compared to the stock one. Has anyone else notice this or is it just the one I bought ? Thanks.

Mine seems just as secure as it ever did. Did the tabs break when you removed the original?

A loose boot (depending how loose) shouldn't be an issue, as there's not much strain on it.

Well with the stock one it’s pretty snug but with the pro one I can easily push down the boot. It’s not really an issue but I was just wondering

I had the same issue. Eventually discovered the boot was off like a quarter turn and would come unclipped. Rotated it and Haven’t had any issues since.

Mine does clip but it come off too easily compared to the stock one, ima keep messing with it but now I’m wondering if it’s the knob itself.

Same here. I spent a few minutes seating and reseating it. No issues for a couple months now.

I couldn’t figure it out, it’s pretty loose but nothing I can’t live with. Just wish it was a snug fit though
