Taco Vinyl Raptor Grill W/TSS

So, I finally received my TRD Pro grill with paint matched letters and raptor lights. It took a month from order to receiving the grill. When I reached out he mentioned “we just got the letters in so now we will prep them, paint them, and cure them.” But in a previous email he said the letters were there just needed to paint them... so more lies.

However, the grill looks great, went together great, and everything works. A few little problems are that there isn’t threads on one of the holes for the bracket that holds the sensor so I couldn’t use a screw there. No big deal because it’s held in place by two bolts on the side and everything works so far. Other problem was, the add a fuse sent with the raptor lights doesn’t use the fuses that are in the truck. I had to go out and buy mini fuses to put in the add a fuse instead of using the factory ones. But whatever, it works, it looks good, I’m happy, I won’t buy from him again.

 

Thanks. Have been in touch with Taco Vinyl and they advised they have a "fix" but nothing further since then.

 

I hope the “fix” they send u is not as sorry as the “fix” they sent me if so get ready to life

 

Anybody gotten this thing to work i love it but the PCS light on my cluster is driving me insanse.

 

You are gonna have to buy another tss sensor cover or it will never work

Wish I would have checked this thread out before I bought it! For the price, quality is sub par. It also came with zero instructions. I do like the looks though. Best part is I now have the dreaded “clean your sensor” error...

Really sucks to hear all of this. Why he changed the original metal design that worked with no fuss baffles me. I guess cost savings? I've had my ("first revision grille & TSS bracket") on for a bit over a year now through all sorts of weather conditions and off-roading without a single hiccup.

 

Honestly really disappointed I’m just gonna chalk it up as an L. I went against my best judgement and didn’t hear what others had to say especially @gumbeelee21.
People don’t buy the grille, until he comes out with a revised bracket.

i currently have my sensor on zip ties until I receive my bracket from ajt I’ll report after I install that so far no dirty sensor light since zip tying.

I filed a complaint with Etsy on 8/9. Just got an email from Etsy today stating they side with me since he admitted there was a problem. I’m entitled a full refund and if he wants it back, he’ll need to pay for the return shipping.

Now to start looking for a grill that works with the sensor, again...

I’m a little surprised, but pleased, with Etsy’s decisiveness. I’m guessing I’m not the only one who’s filed a complaint recently.

alright guys so I bought the ajt design bracket and so far so good no PCS light after a 30 minute drive.
In conclusion if you want this grill buy the 2016-2017 version and then buy the ajt design bracket separately.

 

I was able to make mine work with the ajt/custom grills bracket with the one with the tacoma 2.0..but u could probably just use the ajt and hust drop it down lower
