Hey, there I recently bought a pair of new Winjet taillights for my 2016 Inferno Tacoma and the problem is that when I start my truck, the running tail lights and license plate lights do not come on. The brake light, turn signals and reverse light work but I am having no luck finding a fix to the running tail lights. I made sure the 7.5A Tail fuse on the drivers side was ok and I have already tried replacing it. I cannot figure out the problem and would appreciate some help, thanks.

Try reinstalling the old tail lights with the original bulbs and see if that changes anything. If you’re getting the same issue with the old tail lights, try to check the other fuses. Sometimes more than one fuse will blow. Good luck

Are you talking about when your headlights are on or just DRLs?

Just checking. The tail lights won't come on with just the DRLs, at least on my OR model. I take it the new lights are LED?

I'm thinking it's some sort of fuse issue. Sounds like you checked the obvious one, but maybe try some others too. It could be a computer issue too, but I'm not sure.

I was going to suggest turning your sockets around in case the lights were polarity specific, but I would think they just wouldn't work period if that was the issue, but you never know. However the license plate lights is what kind of baffles me. Maybe a fuse or relay. If you are still stumped, it may be time to try and call the company to see if they've run into the same issues with anyone else.

Hey, they shouldn't. They turn ON when you select TAILS/PARKING on the steering light stalk.

Notice that the STOP & TURN are separate circuits from the TAIL/PARKING.
Also, the TAIL lamps are all in parallel so they receive power at same time. SO disconnecting the Aftermarket lamps has no bearing on the tag lamps. They should illuminate when the stalk is in TAIL/Parking position even with no Tail Lamps Assemblies, unless you have a cut wire going to them.

We established that part already. He advised the taillights still don't function when the headlights are on, not just the DRLs.
