Doesn’t seem like you have an extensive mod list in mind so if all you’re going to do is lift it 3” and stop there then just listen to this other guy because it’s better to “buy once cry once” especially if you’re paying labour on install.

Upgrade your UCAs, it’ll make it easy to hit alignment specs rather than barely making it on the stock ones I don’t see how scraping by can do any good.

    Do the ECGS bushing replacement.

And although I wouldn’t recommend billies (if you’re going after market I’d say do better) it doesn’t sound like you’re going to off-road or camp a lot so they’ll probably be fine for you.

I actually installed my lift a few weeks ago.

Bilsteins 5100s with SPC UCA's for 3 inch lift. Rides great!

Thanks for all your advice here! Yeah...only other real mods I'm gonna do is bigger wheels and tires, but don't have a specific size I'm going for...just want them to fill the wheel well out with the lift. In other words, lift first, then biggest possible wheels with the lift. So, looking for the quality 3" lift first and foremost. @ResearchMonkee would you be able to post the link to the 5100s you used to get the 3" with the SPC UCA's, and what'd you do for the rear? I saw the link provided by @Z7Xtreme above, but it looks like the max height for that is 2.5

    Thanks again, guys!

I bought medium duty dakars without extra leaf separately. (Also from Headstrong) I run 265/70/17. Anything more will require fun times.

My truck does ride rough as hell, but I wouldn't lay the blame on the spacers. I have 10-ply, load range E, 17" 285/75s on the truck and the leaf springs look like they came off a trailer truck. Of course it rides like shit, but not due to wandering. I use it like a service truck. What do you mean, "why even have a coil at all?" Any lift you get will change the geometry of everything else, the spacer only moves the mounting point down. It does not negate its ability to function in the slightest. The truck gets well within factory specifications on the alignment and doesn't wander in the highway.

I'm not the only one having good luck with spacers. OP, I know you're new to this, so just know this --this forum loves to shit on just about everything that isn't top dollar and is in the "in" list of items. I have used this forum for years under different names and have seen forum preferences come and go. Just know they'll shit on anything except coilovers, and that's just not necessary for most people. Again, I use my truck offroad more than I do on road, and beat the shit out of it, and have had ZERO functionality issues caused by spacer lifts. Ever. Period. If you want to go the more expensive route, that's great and more power to you, but just know that it isn't necessary to achieve what you want.

I have to get back to work, but I'm sure the fire ant nest I kicked will be good and stirred up still when I get home.

did you do any brake line extensions for front or rear? I’m finding both yes and no about replacing them and don’t really want to get there and not have them if I need them

front 2.5-3 inch lift ome 886
Rear 2.75 inch lift with ome Dakar heavy load

    thanks for any information

Negative. I never extended the front or the rear and I've been running a 3" lift on every Tacoma I've had since '07 with no issues.

It still makes me wonder as if your at full extension that brake line faces up before running to the spindle. I’m thinking better safe then sorry for me, cheap replacement, and know I’m not gonna break them.

thank you for the input as it’s good to know I have some time before I need to replace
