Steering kit and maybe axles. I don’t wanna fuck around with the LCA kit...I’d have find a shop to fab a front skid to mate up with my current trans skid, not worth the hassle for a truck that is a DD and 98% street queen.

Really good to meet you today and thank you for the compliment! All this Tacoma stuff has been a lot of fun for us and is a good reminder of why I got into off-road in the first place. As weird as it sounds I’ve kind of gotten numb to the sport from constantly being surrounded by $500k+ trucks.

There's a certain care and consideration when it comes to your own. I was still admiring the front build, forgot the rear!

Bro, I can guarantee the next cage I ever even think of building will be in a galaxy far far away lol.... Just thought that was an incredible way of doing it, kudos. and the cage looks more badass than any badassery ive seen.

That TTB on the Trekker has to be the icing on the cake, heck I can even forgive him for putting a chevy motor in it now lol... Just an absolute awesome piece of work makes me want to drop my truck off at his shop the next time I am out west.

Can't blame you for going that direction with all the aftermarket support plus a 400HP Na V6 is just that much cooler:cheers:

I am running a Supra manual transmission and FJ transfer case so it does still have a little Toyota left in there

I want to take a moment and formally salute all of your hard work, ingenuity, responsiveness & desire to help the taco community with a much needed catalog of modifications.

I am seriously stoked on every aspect of these 100 pages & I would like to think I’ll be able to purchase your LT someday because it appears to beat features/value of the other major brands I was considering (especially with the ground clearance gains).

I already have the Marlin LCA brace kit so I am particularly keen on the steering kit you have & eventually the LT offering once I can swing it. I have not broken Napa HD axles, MOOG tie rods or my factory rack, but I am tough on them and would love some more durable parts/solutions to these weak areas as well as MORE travel with the LT kit.

Silly question about this LT & my particular wheel BS (which is 3.5 or -25 offset). I would not be interested in switching to a lower offset wheel, so would a 35” on a 16x8 -25 offset wheel require glass EVEN if the factory fenders are cut back 2.5” or more? I refuse to f/w glass here in rocky AZ & I don’t have any interest in ‘go fast’ stuff. I’m a slower type of crawler

All you have to imagine is having your wheels stick out 2.25” further than they do now. No truck “requires” glass it’s simply done for appearance. As long as you cut the stock fenders high enough you will be fine. I believe @Evenflow has similar BS wheels with at 2” over kit/cut OEM fenders and I think his truck looks amazing. On my 81’ I don’t run glass and the tires are over 10” past the fenders as it’s a more rock crawler oriented look. Now that I’m doing the rebuild and going IFS I’ll be running glass simply for the look. It’s all personal preference

That’s exactly what I figured I just wasn’t sure. I was aggressive with my trim at about 2.5” taken out of them & id rather have +2 LT with 35’s or 37’s sticking 11” past the fenders than deal with glass in a rocky crawling environment. I’m sure I’ll be fine, then. Thanks & see my above post Please. I need to know you know how much I appreciate you

Thank you for the kind words! I’ve been having a ton of fun with the Tacoma stuff and getting to interact with you guys as it’s being built real time is even more fun!

There is/was a silver access cab 2nd gen Tacoma running around SoCal with a TTB swap. I saw it in the parking lot at Off Road Expo back in 2012 or 2013, I don't recall every being able to track it down online anywhere. On that build it looked like they had grafted the entire front frame rails from a Ford to the Tacoma.

I’ve seen it, yes they used the entire front frame from the ford. Would have saved me so much work if I went that route!
