I've reloaded for .223/5.56, .308, 6.5 Creed, 6 Dasher, 9, 40, and 45. I've also cast bullets for .380, 9, 40, and 45. Currently the majority of my reloading is for my Dasher.

I am just getting into it. Have everything for 9mm, 7mm rem mag, and .300 win mag. It was all given to me, along with a RCBS single stage press. Now that I can't buy ammo, I am learning to reload.

I want to, but I'm, lost. I've got lots of good stuff, but don't know where to start, have been reading Lymans 50th edition reloading book, but it's all foreign. Want to start building a reloading table, but don't know where to put what. And then ordering powder, bullets, primers on and on and on and on and on and on. And on and on and on and on and on.

    Totally lost.

I have to agree, I have moved things around so.many times. Just mount it, try it, and adjust. Everytime I try doing something new, I rearrange. AND everytime is gonna be the last time lol

I have the same Lyman's manual. That is a good place to start for powders and such. I also found The High Road forum to be a great source of info, so much so that I ended up joining.

I mounted my press on a piece of plywood that I clamp in my vise. Works great and allows me to use my bench for other things when no reloading

Take a look online and see if there are any classes available anywhere? My local gun club had a 4 hour class that I took and then the instructor was kind enough to meet up with me at my house to build up my first 20 rounds. That, or ask the guys at the local range if they know anyone that can help you out. I’ve found that a lot of old timers are more than happy to pass on info as it seems like a bit of a dying art.

I've been doing some 30-30 & 30-06 since about 2012 for deer hunting. Have done some 45acp about 2 years ago. Working on figuring out what powders to use for 9mm & ar15 loads.

I bought a Dillon 650 back in 2011 and it’s more than payed back the initial investment by at least 7x. Now a days I am super grateful to have it...Learned to plan ahead due to cyclical election seasonality.

    None... yet.
Yes, it is VERY overwhelming at first! There are plenty of YT tutorials and this - https://tinyurl.com/y9kgk7za - is a good overview. I only started a few years ago and spent at least 4-6 months reading articles and watching vids before I felt comfortable making the jump.

I'd recommend you start with pistol rounds as it is, generally speaking, a lot less "involved"...

This...ah, brings back memories of the first loaded rounds pucker factor. Mount that stuff up and get after it! @Martyinco put up a link to another reloading thread. Here or there, if you have questions there will be people willing to help you out.

I’ve got a Dillon RL550b I bought back when I shot competitively in 9mm. Love that thing and worth every penny. My favorite powder was Hodgdon Clays. Been wanting to get back into it for a while now and trying some 3 gun. I love the tweaking process with it for loading competition rounds.

It makes sense for 30-06. When I had my Garand I wanted to reload but I didn’t shoot it enough to justify buying the stuff. I always kept my brass and would trade it in for reloading from a guy at the gun show I would frequent.
9mm and 45 for target practice...police my brass and trade it in. I’m not someone that needs custom loads. I’ll just buy it cheap and stack it deep as they say

My M1 is what I load for the most. Especially now since surplus is pretty much dried up.
