Hey, guys! I have a 2009 Taco with stock wheels and tires. I am looking to get some new tires and wheels. I am looking to get 265/75r/16 tires (with no lift). I have read from other Taco owners that this size should fit fine with no lift with no rubbing. They did say, there might be some rubbing if you get aftermarket wheels. My question is: What size wheels do I need to get to go with 265/75r/16 tires so that there is no rubbing without a lift. Thanks in advance for your answers!!

5 or 6 lug? I have a 2014 5 lug Tacoma that came with the 15" steel wheels and stock crappy narrow tires. I replaced with 18" wheels off an X-Runner, which gave effectively the same rolling circumference so my speedometer read correctly, and it was a huge improvement in ride and handling, with no noticeable difference in acceleration. Maybe you should look into the other size wheels Toyota offered as options to get an idea of what works on a stock truck. If I had to do it again, I would have swapped over to the 18" X-Runner wheels as soon as I bought my truck and just sold the original wheels and tires for a few bucks on Craigslist

I have 6 lugs on my wheels. The reason that I want to get new wheels is because mine are peeling and bubbling pretty badly.

No proof to back this up but I would imagine with the 265/75/16's you could run any normal wheel and be fine.

depends how aggressive you go, I rubbed at stock height with -25 offset wheels. I would keep the offset around +10 to 0 and no wider than a 9 inch wheel.
