My build started way back in 2015 with adding a URD TRUE COLD AIR INTAKE and a MAF Sensor Calibrator. While window shopping on URD's website I ran across the Rotrix Supercharger.

From this front view of the intercooler behind the Grillcraft it's hard not to notice the beat up the front bumper cover… I knew I had to learn how to paint…


At some point I managed to jack-knife a utility trailer into the rear fender. OEM replacements were way too expensive… So what do you do…Install fiberglass … it's a lot cheaper than OEM and it looks easy to install…yeah it was anything but easy!

Getting ready to fit the front fenders… between both sides I had the front fenders on/off the truck while trying to get the apex and headlight buckets fitted at least 30 times!


The gas filler lines had to be extended


I drove it around Richmond for 6 plus months before deciding to take on the job of painting


Also the truck did not come with a hood scoop…
As shipped but needed a good block sanding with high build and guide coat.


Simply amazed at how many spots needed building from a CAPA hood

It was time to take on the fiberglass fenders. I wanted to add some flair to the truck so I drove to Ohio and learned how to paint Lumilor

Also repainted the tailgate and replaced the front and rear bumpers


eBay bumper nothing special but turned out nice after sandblasting and painting

Now the stock tires were looking right small under those large fiberglass fenders so what to do…

18" Fuel Rims and softer Kumho tires and StopTech brakes


The truck was louder after I had installed the URD Mark 2 Competition Y-Pipe and the URD Stainless 3" Mark3 Exhaust, I needed to do some work on the interior.

Added RattleTrap, new carpet and a stereo.

What fiberglass bedsides did you go with? Have you noticed any issues driving around town or on the trails with the wider body?

No problems with driving on or off road. I do get a few compliments on the wide-body. The only issue I had was dealing with small squeaks as the fiberglass settled. So far fixing these little noises has not been difficult except for finding them. If you DIY the glass, you will become an expert on fit an finish, as this was a challenge, at least for me to align/fit especially the headlights and taillights, and the apex on the front fenders.
