Can I add a rooftop display?

2008 tacoma. Double cab longed v6

So far only have a/c knobs, OCD orginizres6n

My 2008 tacoma came with a rooftop console with no display. I've been looking for one at my local junkyards and only finding the ones with the compass and outside temp. I ended up pulling mine down today to see if I could fix it and realized there was 2 wires. One went to the lights, and the other went to nothing. It was clipped into. The back of the spot where the display would be. Does that mean I can add the screen?
