Anyone have any experience replacing the fuel filler assembly? Looked here an online and haven't found anything on how to remove.

I don't believe it has a regular service interval for second gens. It's inside the fuel tank in the fuel pump assembly. I wouldn't mess with it unless you got some really bad gas in there or the pump itself fails.

The fuel filler hose to tank?
    Or the fuel filter?

Assuming your talking about the fuel filter assembly? If so as Shelf Life noted, it's in the tank... Many manufactures are switching over to in tank filters. I don't personally have experience with Tacomas but I have replaced in tank filters in Subarus. A unique difference however is that Subaru for instance uses a sock filter as found on the Tacoma in addition to a secondary more traditional paper media filter for very fine particulate. I like this system better and have toyed with the idea of adding a secondary filter in my tacoma but I probably wont, our trucks have proven themselves more than capable.

Subaru's design, the plastic box attached to the inlet of the pump contains the sock type filter like that Tacoma however you can also note the secondary filter labeled in the picture.

I was talking about the filler neck. I was able to remove it last night. Thank you for the help.
