I'm a little surprised how long it takes to sell on average. I sold my 2004 in one day and the dealer sold my 2016 in a week.

74 days to sell one truck? Seems like a inventory management nightmare. Doesn't seem like there is really any margin of error. They are such high cost items and they can potentially sit around costing everyone money for months.

@P-Dawg is correct. Fastest selling does not go hand in hand with best selling.
This list is basically grading the OEM planners for inventory control. Toyota gets them to the dealership when the dealer needs it, Honda does well also. The other guys suck lol.

Maybe it depends more where you live. They sell more mercedes and bmw's in my neighborhood. Its when i get 20-25 miles away i'll see more new taco's, and rams on the road. Seems dealerships with multiple franchises in our county will sell more rams, and jeeps than our other so called domestic vehicles....not that chevy or ford have been slouch's to move.

IIRC, my truck sat on the dealership lot for roughly 2 months before I bought it. TRD OR DCSB in auto. Probably the most popular choice of all.

    Working on it ...
Similar story here. Mine was a March 2019 build. It looks to have gone to same owner dealership in the northern end of the state originally.
Then shipped to the dealership south central in the state where I ended up buying it in December 2019. The truck was pretty much option exactly the way I would’ve done it if I “custom” ordered it. I often wondered why it didn’t sell sooner.
