Anyone here used one of those NOCO Jump Starters?
I have a problem to resolve with my battery, but it's failed me twice this week, and I don't feel like sitting in a parking lot. I read charging voltage (13.9 start, 13.3 run), but AutoZone checked their battery and it's charge was too low to check further.

If you can hold off on your purchase look for them around black friday.
Got mine for almost half of normal price.

We use one at work daily, starting way more than it is rated for, without issue.

    Are you done yet?

Thanks. I have it on a charger now. There is only one thing that is powered when truck is off, and that is the E Fan for cool down. It's been there since before the new battery, tho. Everything else runs ONLY when truck is running.
That said, I turned the fan t'stat up so it stopped, and will switch the wire over to a running source only tomorrow. Once I get enough charge in the battery, they can test it further. It doesn't take long on a jump to start it at all.
As quick as it died when warmed up, I am suspicious there is a bad cell in the battery preventing a good charge. But they won't admit it until they can check everything. It's an AutoZone Duralast 27F new last year, with 3 year no pro-rated warranty.

Actually, I'm figuring out my memory ain't so good! Was checking on my fan controller wiring so I can mess with it, and I saw the LED on the "charger" was still at "red=low" level. Took a picture, and looked it up - It's a Schumacher Instant Power jump start unit! NOT a charger.
Yep, truck starts, but pulled it off and let IT charge as it is supposed to.
Now, I remember I tossed my antique charger in the last round of garage clean out, because, according to Mr. Voltmeter, it didn't have any volts!
So, now to get a cheap charger on it from somewhere, so I can argue that it's not the alternator!

It got hot enough to just avoid the pool this afternoon! I was gonna, but just never did.
I'll be in for hours Thursday and Friday after the coatings get here tomorrow anyway.
