Can you bring down a well cared for 2017 ACLB OR MT with you while you're at it? :hattip:

There's a non-toyota dealership around here that buys brand new Canadian trucks, lifts them, and then sells them for less than you can buy a new local one for (generally). I bought a 2016 TRD Pro Tundra through them. There are differences, on my truck despite being a Pro, it didn't have Entune (didn't care, it sucks anyways) and it had the smaller gas tank (didn't learn this till after I had bought it, was really bugged about this difference). Just because the Canadian trucks are built in Texas, doesn't mean the specs will be the same, so just make sure you're aware of what you're getting. You will also run in to issues getting warranty work done (you can get it done, it will just take some extra "work" usually...my dealership was pretty great)

All i know its a pita if a u.s. citizen buys a vehicle in canada between all the documentation needed, plus i've heard of some weird warranty issues from the manufacture if the vehicle isn't available here for sale, instead was purchased in canada then using the warranty here by that u.s citizen at a u.s. dealer....they were told to go back to canada if they wanted it warrantied. Imo, unless its a super deal, your better to buy here.

Toyota doesn't sell an off road access cab 6 speed in the US. Only the sport. That's why I'm looking at possibly purchasing my truck in Canada.

More differences than that, but subtle. Low washer fluid warning, hardwired DRLs, no LED headlights except on the Night Shade trim, no Entune or other 'apps,' and a few other small things. Some folks view some of that stuff as positive, some negative.

Well it took me a long time to find this one, even while living in Canada. Mostly luck.. IMG_20200803_183526_127.jpgEverything has a price though

Very nice! I've said it in other threads. Everytime I see an ACLB OR with Canadian plates (pretty often), I just assume it is an MT and look on with some envy.

Some searches here at times shows that it can be hard to locate ACLB MT Sports. I was thankful that there were three locally at the time and even then the dealers worked with me. I'm holding on to it for a long time.

    Lots--
I snagged one in Houston and drove it back to DFW where I live now. If you really want one. Build it on the site. You put down like $500 but you always get your money back as they don't have a problem selling any of them. That's how I snagged mine. Someone built it and I got what they created. I wish mine didn't have these chunky side steps-- anyone wanna trade for some minimal rock sliders???? :canada:

This is my second TRD OR AC MT.
Had a 2006 that lasted me 10 years. It was a great truck.

I don't remember having any trouble finding one back in the day. This time around, I had a very hard time. I'm sure the covid didn't help.
I was able to find one by luck after a couple months of searching.

I think it may be extremely hard to find one in MT years from now. I best be holding onto it unless really worth it.
