I did not bother even mounting them. The unit is so light that once you snap it back int its fine. I may go back and mount the bracket but so far have not found a need to. I believe you need to drill some new holes for it to work.

What are you trying to connect? if you ordered the correct harness the canbus should do all the work for you already. Also I believe the top of the HU has a layout of each wire if I recall.

The bunch of little wires were most likely going from the stock Toyota speaker wires to the amplifiers speaker output wires. Remove them.

Your existing aftermarket harness is a cluster f.... it was a good decision on getting a new harness.

In one of your first posts in this thread you posted a series of pictures, one of which showed a big harness that you didn't have a match for, it shouldn't have a match, you shouldn't use that harness at all, just use the harness with the black plug that plugs in near the fuse on the back of the unit.

It sounds like your truck doesn't have amplifiers anymore, if you have any aftermarket stereo wires in your truck they should be removed and returned to stock.

It works and then it doesn't work is a tough one. I would try not using the factory Toyota stereo ground wire (black in the aftermarket stereo harness) and putting it straight to bare metal under the dash (by the driver's kick panel should be fairly easy to do). Computers are pretty picky about their power supply. It's just a guess on my part though.

right on when i get the new harness ill route the ground wire, i did notice on the rear passenger door the stock speaker wires coming from the plug in the door were cut and split into speaker wires going to the speakers.. all other other doors had the stock harness wires.. would that mess anything up?

Asked this question about the TPMS function in the Dasaita HU.

"I have 2014 Tacoma (TPMS activates warning light but does not display all tires). if i replace them with these will warning light remain deactivated? " "Our TPMS only support Dasaita car radio. It comes with special wire for Dasaita car radio. If you didn't have Dasaita car radio, please don't order it."

I noted these numbers on the pictures of the TPMS for Dasaita (E2410R-04 1450 and NB-S1608009) on Amazon (here).

I tend to think that my warning light will come on if I was to install these TPMS but does anyone else think my truck warning light would not illuminate?

For now, I have it in the dash just to plug the hole...

new wires came in today.. but its like 200* here in cali and im not leaving this ac house lol.. truck is still acting weird.. lost all sound again.. but i could see the song still playing on pandora.. then today i turned on the truck and opened the passenger door to put my daughter in and when i moved the door i heard the speakers white noise and it would change as i moved the door.. music started playing again but only from the driver side door lol (rear speakers arnt plugged into the head unit right now) so confusing lol.. i hate electrical stuff.. prolly going to have to check the connection behind the glove box to.. hopefully this new wiring fixes something though lol20200814_161150.jpg

I'm working on boats, in the sun, for a minimum of 8 hours a day. This heat is killing me. It's absolutely brutal.

The high pitched sound, my first thought is a short in a speaker wire going to ground. It's possible but doubtful that a RCA lead has been shorted within itself.

Ok, so the source unit was playing Pandora, you lost all sound, and there are no amplifiers. My first thought is a speaker wire short.

"Sound would change moving door..." my first thought is it's a speaker wire short.

What exactly is going on behind your glove box?

I recall you writing the right front door doesn't have stock speaker wiring but all other doors do...

ill remove the glove box here in a min and take a picture, but it does seem pretty stock and untouched behind there.. it was one of the rear door speakers.. it had the clear coated audio wire coming from speaker and tapped into the stock wires leading to the plug in the door.. all the other door speakers had the stock wiring connecting to the speaker.. although i didnt check the driver side front since i didnt see anything in the doors like whats behind the head unit lol

the head unit itself works perfect.. i dont think the fault is there, it did this with the stock radio to after i got the truck back.. so there def has to be a short somewhere for it to cut all out sound at once or only play 1 speaker.. i wiggled all the wires in the rats nest behind the unit and nothing seemed lose.. im hoping something just got crossed in his rush to take the subs and amps out to sell the truck

I will. Letting it dry overnight. I did it in matte black. Took a lot of sanding

It'll be worth the wait. Then you'll want to paint everything else black

ok................................................. lol.. so messing with the door again since it wasnt playing and it made it work some how lol.. so i plugged in the rear speakers again into the head unit and when id fully extend the door like push it all the way open, the rears started working, but it was touchy with the door.. also passenger front door sounded poopy compared to the others when the door was fully extended (front PS wouldnt work unless fully extended).. so i unplugged the lil pin connector under the tweeter and all 3 other door speakers sounded perfect minus the sound from the front PS.. plugged it back in and it went back to sounding poopy.. unplugged sounded good.. plugged back in and it all of a sudden sounded fine plugged in lol... im about to take the suspension off and torch it haha...

so since i dont see any faults or bad connections in the doors.. it has to go back to the mess behind the headunit... i havent had time to put the new oem radio harness in yet.. but just looking closely at the color coded wires, im assuming it should be yellow to yellow and blue to blue ect.. well noticed the yellow coming out of the main big plug (wires that came with the head unit) doesnt have a matching yellow coming out of the stock harness plug.. ( see pic with funky arrows and circles) but the yellow in the stock harness wiring is wired into the other small plug that worked the rear speakers.. (trying to make as much sense in writing this as i can lol) idk if any of you have pictures of the stock wiring and color coded wires so i can make sure that yellow should be on the other plug... any way enough rambling heres a vid and some pix.. the grey plug pictured in the door is the one i unplugged and the other speakers workedScreenshot_20200815-204521_Gallery[1].jpg 20200815_195524.jpg 20200815_192632.jpg 20200815_192844.jpg 20200815_192901.jpg
