The time is getting close for me to part with my 2014 regular cab. It has served me well, no complaints.

As I understand, the regular cab has something of a following in that it's popular with the wheeler crowd, particularly on the west coast. I'm not looking to gouge anybody, but I'd like to sell it for the best I can. But I don't think this vehicle has the same appeal here in New York, so, I'm wondering if Ebay...or TacomaWorld, would be my best bet to list it for sale.

Anybody have any experience along this line? I've sold several vehicles on Craigslist over the years, but that was all local stuff. I originally bought the truck because it was the last year of RC production, and thought maybe it would carry a premium value when I wanted to sell it.

I would try Craigslist and FB Marketplace first. Getting local buyers who can look at something in person could be a lot easier to deal with compared to trying to describe something long distance. Ebay takes a decent fee when it sells so you would need to get more to offset that. I've bought and sold cars, trucks and boats through Ebay, Craigslist, various forums and I've sold some items through FB Marketplace, so they all will hit certain buyers. I had an anxious buyer for my 2013 through FB (I forgot the ad was still up) but with NJ dmv having so many issues this year because of the pandemic, I don't want to deal with getting another vehicle this year so I'm keeping it for the time being. No matter where you put it, you will get crazy lowballers who are usually small dealers trying to get a steal. Just use good pictures and a good description to minimize the annoying questions.

I use Craig’s list and had good luck, I ask them to provide ph.# and I will call back. Ignore the rest and don’t respond to any emails.

Yeah, Ebay ain't what it used to be.

Good point about virus and trying to get stuff done at DMV.
