Does not doing the 6 month service invalidate any warranty?

Toyota have a lot more quality control than most typeS of independent businesses. My car made it through production, being shipped all the way to Oahu without any problems. The issue I have is with people that don’t give a shit.

The numpty that had to drive it on and off the barge To get it to my Island managed to scrape the arches on the passenger side and use the bumper as a measure of when to stop. I had to get the car from another island because my local dealer messed my truck order and it would be another 6 month wait to re-order.

We just picked up a new RAV4 xse from our local dealer And the detailer did a crap job and left dents on the roof where they pulled off the protective cover. Sadly the dealer on this island has a very bad reputation with things happening and not owning it when it happens...

My truck has zero issues (apart from an offset bed, which I fixed) so the good people of Baja, California did a great job...

 

The techs at the stealership are usually glorified Pep Boys "ACE certified" kids, and hopefully the vehicle made it off the production line with fresh fluids, and without scratched paint and over-torqued lug nuts.

 

On the test drive in the RAV4 the sales guy told me it was a conventional auto gearbox because it has the sport mode where you can push up and down gears. I should have corrected him, it’s a cvt.
