Ya so I did the Math. Got the Body Mount Chop/pinch weld Mod and a Stage 4 mid travel suspension kit by Accutune and the damn tire didn't fit. Way too much contact with the Camburg Billet UCA's and just a lil bit too big for the outside corners of the wheel-well-fenders when trying out a spacer (which I don't want to use anyhow). Body mount Chop was fine.

So bummed they really were the size tire I wanted and I researched the shit out of it and everyone was saying it would work. All I can think of is the Tread was real fat and/or my Billet UCA should have been a tube and then maybe. I always have to see for myself why the standard exists. Faaaaak!

0 offset wheels tend to fit the best with 285s. Some folks don't even have to do the CMC with 0 offset wheels and backspacing 4.5" or less.

So do you think I will have the same problem with 285/70/17's with a backspacing of 4.75? This is a drag because I already asked all these questions. LOL.

What offset are your wheels? I have a buddy that rides in our group that has those billet UCAs and he clears 285s just fine.

0 offset. I think I'm fine. Well see tomorrow. Im just paranoid now. LOL. Well damn I don't know how guys are putting on 35's and not cutting the fenders and claiming no rub. These were only 34's and it was ready to rip out my fender just sitting there. Again body mount chop was fine. That tire was big. Bigger than I imagined...

Any updates? I find myself in a similar situation LOL! I have the same size wheels also from method and I just ordered 285/75 BFGoodrich KM3s. Hoping I do not to need to buy new wheels or wheel spacers!
