    KDMax-Pro+XT
    XT=Extra Torque

    There are some people that wanted more Torque and more Hp, while keeping the great shifting and throttle from the KDMax-Pro+ tune.
    We made some changes to the tune and tested it on our trucks (KDMax Tuning Group).
    It has the KDMax-Pro+ tune as the base with changes in VFtuner to make more POWER.
    Reviews and feedback has been positive with ZERO complaints.
    The Dyno results were great-- 29hp increase over stock, and 28ftlbs torque increase over stock.

    - More usable and noticeable low end torque
    - Octane learning--good for Regular or Premium gas.
    - Improved/smoother shifting.
    - 4Lo tested- smooth and strong at low speeds.
    - More user friendly throttle settings/names and just three choices:

    Throttle Choices
    1. Sport throttle- Aggressive, linear but optimized for less jerky low speed
    2. Normal throttle- Used for Daily Driving but aggressive and linear
    3. Lite throttle- A little more than Stock throttle but optimized to be linear and smooth

    (Depends on the person doing the tune. Most are in the $400-$450 range for Tacomas. But I think a few guys charge $500-$550.

    The 2020+ 4Runner costs more because the software requires more than double the credits to tune it (about $100-150 more)

    Stock vs Pro-XT
    2016 4x4 Sport 5.29 gears on 295/70/17
    87 Octane.
    29 HP over stock.
    28 Ftlbs Torque over stock.
    At 3250 RPM 46 Ftlbs Torque over stock.
    Ran 3 runs stock and 3 runs Pro-XT. Threw out the high and low of each.

    Sounds good. Hopefully OVtune has support for that ECU by then.
    Just let me know. Right now I only have tunes for 2016-2020.

    If anyone is on the fence about this, just do it! @PapaRee tuned my 21 this weekend and the difference is insane. Throttle response, shifting, everything just feels better and smoother. Also, he’s very knowledgeable, will answer any questions before and during, and can even customize all kinds of different little things that I would’ve never even thought about. Shoot him a message!

    I have a 20 sport, was it necessary to change the octane gas you run.you able to keep 87?

    You can run 87.
    There are Regular octane tunes and Premium octane tunes. Both are "Octane learning" and are good for a range of octanes. The Regular octane tune has a learning range from approx. 87-90. The Premium octane tune has a learning range from approx. 90-94.
    So, you can run Premium octane on a Regular tune, but can't run Regular octane on a Premium tune. I always recommend getting a Regular octane tune- even if you usually use Premium, that way you can run Regular octane if you ever want to or if you sell/trade in your truck.
