Problems with kB voodoo mounting with retrax tonneau

I’ve experienced an issue while mounting my kb voodoo high rise cross bars with a retrax cover. My plan is to mount a bike on the cross bars and in order to do this with the short bed Tacoma I need to have the front cross bar close to the cab. The problem is that the tonneau canister doesnt fit between the the brackets. The bolts will hit the plastic on the canister.

My cross bars are now too close together and it will be very awkward to mount a bike on this set up. I’ll have to make a rear tire tray that is extra long and have it sticking off the back of my truck.

Has anyone experienced this and found a solution?

 

I’m experiencing the same issue where my bolts and the retrax canister are hitting. Did find a fix for this?
