Step purchase question - does bed length matter?

    hey all, I found a pair of decent sized tube steps on the FB marketplace for a cool $100, but the lady selling them has them on her doublecab longbed, and said they will only fit a long bed. I was not aware of bed length being a factor in installation; I thought access vs double cab was what mattered. Am I being dumb?

    The steps mount under the cab. Don't see how bed length would have anything to do with fitment. Just Access Cab or Double Cab.

    Yes they’ll affect fitment. I purchased a set off a longbed several years ago when I first got a Tacoma and they didn’t fit. You’ll have issues with the rear of the step hitting the tire. This may vary depending on manufacture though.
