    Hey guys,

Just received my 6112/5160's.. Looking for ideas on settings (5/4 - 6/5) for the 6112 and what to pair it up with on the rear.

Currently I have 5100's on 1.1" in the front and a 1.25" tapered Low Range Off Road block in the rear.

Part of me wants to go with the 5/4 setting (1.5") and part of me wants to go 6/5 (2") on the 6112's..

I plan on keeping the 1.25" tapered block in the rear -just for now- and hoping the truck is either level or hoping for a little rake in the rear due to towing a 5x8 trailer approximately 2-3 days a week and don't want it to look wheelie status.

The wheels/tire combo currently is 16x8 -12 Method NV with 265/75/16 Falken Wildpeak.

Would love to see others with different settings - I did not post in the suspension forum because I don't want 2nd Gen photos etc.

I also plan on updating this thread when I install my suspension with the settings I choose so others will see mine and others as well.

Oh yeah I said thats a nice truck didn't think of that color combo to work but it looks good!

I also said since you're going 6112/5160, id go ahead and upgrade your leaf pack since your hauling a trailer. I know a single add a leave, 3 add a leaf are options. If you're planning on upgrading the entire pack, unless you can't or don't want to now, I'd take the block out.

What are you hauling in a 5x8 trailer? Cant be very much weight often right?

Thanks man! Sometimes I love the combo but then sometimes I think I'd enjoy tossing on some 2020 TRD Pro wheels too and keep it simple.

I def want to upgrade the rear eventually but want to set the front right now to whatever setting so that's one less thing I will have to do.

The trailer hauls a 42" Gravely Zero Turn, a 22" walk behind, blower, and two trimmers. Just a side gig I do around town.. Other than that, my Tacoma just looks pretty. LOL

Nice my brother in law does the same thing on the weekends. Its a great gig.

So if you want rake, for towing, and won't be able to upgrade the leaves for a bit, you are sitting 1.25" in the rear. So check out the handy little guide to tell you what setting is equal to what height. You may find that to avoid going nose high even without a trailer is gonna be a hassle. Once you upgrade the rear then you could adjust the front. But then if you ordered your fronts assembled you gotta take them off and change the clip settings

    Thinking the same.

Its weird because I've seen a few post with people on the 2" setting up front and a 1" - 1.25" block in the rear and it's even.. I'd be okay with it if it's even.. Because it's not all the time that I tow, but if it's going to look funky, I'd rather just plan on what to toss out back.

The fronts aren't assembled yet.. Hoping for Monday or so which is why I'm trying to get ideas in advance on what to set it on so I can set it and never have to look back.

Are you doing the clamshell bushing as a preventative measure, or did you start to get the wobble?

just preventative. I might have small vibrations but I can’t really tell.

If you go with the optional Bilstein 650 springs (which is a great idea if you ever plan on adding a winch, bumper, dual batteries, sliders, etc) you will get closer to 2.5” of lift on the 6/5 settings without any weight and will keep you at 2+ if you do add any accessories.

The stock springs are good if you plan on keeping your truck stock but if you plan on adding much weight I highly recommend going with the 650 springs. You can always change the clip setting if you don't add any weight but if you do with the stock springs then you won’t be able to maintain 2” of lift.

The 6112's come with 600lb springs. I don't plan on doing a bumper or batteries etc anytime soon, I do have the fakie sliders (more so protection from other car doors) that are heavier than I thought so that is complete.

I was thinking about setting the 6112 to 2" because I won't feel like pulling them off and doing it again, the rear has the 1.25" block right now (which wasn't my first choice..) but the rear is easier in my opinion to work with, compared to the front.
