What's up, TW! Looking for suggestions / how to's / pics of what you all have done for front license plate relocations with bull bars. I attached a picture of my problem here - the light bar is where the license plate would originally go. Trying to avoid drilling holes into the bull bar, but also trying to avoid covering it up, or zip tying it. Any suggestions here? Thought about doing the "to-the-side thing," but honestly wouldn't know how to go about it.

    Thanks folks! Taco.jpg

Odd place to post this question, but I get your predicament. If you don't want to drill, take a peek at some adel clamps. You'll need to measure the size of the top bar with a square or calipers to get the proper size you'd need. I'm guessing somewhere in the 2" margin. You can always wrap with electrical tape to embiggen (you like that?) the radius of the top bar to fit the adel clamp tight.

Hmm. Seems like a viable option and sure as heck beats any other options I was thinking of. If I put the clamps on the top bar...where were you envisioning the plate going? It would either have to cover the light bar, or the grill, no? Let me know if I’m misunderstanding.

PS I had to look up what embiggen meant

You shouldn't have to cover up one or the other, the license plate is only what, 4 maybe 5 inches? I've never cared to measure it. If you opt for just 2 adel clamps, position the tines of the clamp oriented up, and secure the license plate to those tines utilizing the top holes of the plate and it should cover just the bar split 50/50. If you want extra security, purchase a total of 4 clamps and position the other two with tines oriented down. Just keep in mind that the holes might not be far enough apart to easily use the top and bottom bolt holes on the plate. Personally, I would just run 2 clamps at the moment and see how that works for you and run more if you need. Obviously, you'll also need bolts, washers and nuts to secure the plate to the clamp. The big thing is to properly size the clamp to the top bar.

Ah I see what you’re saying now. I like this idea! I think I might give it a go. Thanks for the insight!
