    I currently have 285/75/16 tires with zero rubbing in all situations. Was previously running 33/10.5/17 with zero rubbing. If you don’t want to do a CMC you don’t need to if you choose the proper rims and tires. Not all 33” tires are the same diameter and width. And the offset on your rims play a key role in getting these tires to fit.

    Good! Any chance you'd post pics under the fender for science? Those pro wheels have a 13mm offset and I was convinced you'd get rubbing at full lock. I'm also going off 2nd gen measurements.

    I’ve got the same tires in the same size on 2020 Pro Taco wheels. Perfect combo if you want to avoid a CMC.

    That looks good. Is there any rubbing on the plastic? That’s a minor inconvenience and an easy fix, but just curious.

    It’s not recommended to run a 285 on a stock pro wheel which is 7”. You’re risking popping a bead as a 285 should be on a rim that is minimum 7.5”.

    Been to Moab and a lot of crazy trails running a 285 tire on a 7” wide rim and never had a problem. And my truck is HEAVY with a lot of accessories.

    I don’t think you’ll find many (if any) who have popped a bead using a 7” rim with 285 tires.

    I would trust manufacturers recommendations over one persons experiences. There’s a reason why it is not suggested. There is a ton of info on this topic so I will not pollute this particular thread.

    This isn’t just my experience. Thousands of people run 285 tires on factory 7” rims without any problems. Please show me some examples where 285 tires are popping off 7” factory rims.

    And please go to the Discount Tire website. This tire in a 285 along with a bunch of other 285/75 tires are recommended by them to use on a 7” rim. If it was any kind of hazard or problem they along with other installers wouldn’t be installing them.
