Wheel spacers.... Y/N?

Apologies in advance as I am sure this has been covered a million times. The search function isn't showing me anything related for some reason.

I have a stock 2018 Sport with 265/65/17 tires on stock rims ( 7.5inch wide I believe? )
Ordering some new Falken Wildpeaks as per recommendations on these forums.

I'd like my wheels/tires to stick out another inch or so at least from the wheel well. Should I get some wheel spacers and anything you recommend? Is it hard on the front end? Doesn't have to be to aggressive just a little wider stance mostly for looks as the stock tires are shit and look like car tires lol

Don’t know about the spacers tire & wheel places like 4 wheel parts would know for sure I upgraded to the Sema 17”Black trd rims with toyo 265/70/17 tires looks so much better FYi but didn’t use any spacers I will look into that as well like the stance of after market wheels I have seen but only want to go factory upgrades for me

 

I was looking into that option as well, some nice TRD rims and tires, they are a little wider. Tires alone are going to be $1000 though.

Yes the rims cost me $215 each the tires were $300 each then mounting & Balancing but I will sell the the trd 17” ones that came with my truck to help save some of the cost for sure but it looks so much better now

 

That's the goal. Nicer more aggressive tires and slightly wider stance, to fill out the wheel wells a bit. The stock rims look decent enough for now

 

Ha..yeah man..It just gets brought up alot...inevitably a bunch of people who have never had them will come in and swear your gonna kill your family with them cause they'll fail. Or your bearings will fail within a week. Or you should go spend a 1000 on wheels with the desired backspacing or some other dumb shit.

I have spidertrax on mine...bora spacers on my old duramax, never a problem.

 

I was thinking if I don't go too aggressive, keep it maybe 20-30mm shouldn't be that bad.

Think I went an inch or 1.25..looks nice, doesn't stick out to much...does fling a little mud on the truck, oh well

I've been wondering this as well to run a little bit of a bigger tire on some 18x9 +0 wheels I have. Planning to get 275/70/18 tires for the wheels, but with spacers I'm assuming I could fit a wider tire as well. Just don't wanna buy tires that are too large then be out $1300 on tires.
I bought some 1.25" spacers before buying wheels that I was just going to run on the OEM wheels with some 285/75/16 tires for a more aggressive stance.
Time will tell.

 

i answered this exact question yesterday. oem wheels, no matter what variant you have plus spidertrax and youll be a-ok, especially in 265/65/17. gonna give you a nice stance. make sure you torque everything down evenly and youll be gtg

I have 3/4" bora spacers on mine and I like them. No issues at all.

 

A lot can go wrong when someone installs them themselves. There's just a lot of variables to consider, and lots of research should be done on center bore, stud length, torque specs, etc etc. It wouldn't bother me to have a professional off road shop install them, but I wouldn't recommend adding spacers for a DIY project. Too much is at risk if you miscalculated one little detail.

We aren't just talking about your safety here, but the safety of the poor soul who gets hit with your wheel that came off

If it's torqued to the manufacturers specs ( Spidertrax ) you think it would fall off? Also getting a Wheel shop/mechanic to install it all ( Kal-Tire ).
