    Hi There,

    New to forum.

I took my 2012 Prerunner in for the recall. Got it back and the AC wouldn't blow cold. Took it back. They found a pin hole in the AC condensor and claim that the recall work wouldn't have caused that. Truck is a Southern California vehicle with 47,000 miles. Any idea if the recall work required work near the AC condensor? Toyota claiming they didn't cause it even though they are saying it's a new, fresh leak and it was totally discharged. $700 repair bill.
    Thank you.

Wow this sucks! This is why I don't go to any shop unless I have to. But it sounds like you had no choice. I would google the reviews for the dealership you took it to and also get another opinion on what could have caused such a puncture!. Best of Luck!

Take a pic to show where the leak is in the engine bay.

I had mine done too, and NO, the valves are on passenger side valve cover rear area and pump is behind your washer bucket. They had mine for the frame treatment too and sent me a laundry list of stuff that needed immediate attention for over 2k. I declined and the condenser was on their list too for a oil/dye film on the bottom of it. Funny thing, my a/c gets cold enough for nips to cut glass. I wiped condenser clean and will check it again later. If you haven't had it fixed yet, go to a/c shop and see if they can solder off that part of condenser and leak check and recharge for less.

It's no where near the condenser, not related

It's all on the left side near the air filter inlet.

I had mine work on the recall at first theres a loud whistling noise just like air is leaking from the pump.. take it back at the dealership its the secondary valve they fixed it but the battery warning light was lit on..ask them to reset it they said they only work on the recall..still now the battery light is on..

The funny thing is all the problems in yours started after they work on the recal
