    I believe Ford is slowly moving all of their vehicles to aluminum. They upgaged the thickness years ago to better match steel and, in many cases, is far more dent resistant than steel. That being said though, it is harder to work with when it is damaged.

    I use my truck for work...no problem. Sure I can't put two pallets of tile on it like I could with my F-250 super duty. So I just load what it can handle.
