    last week we had to let Colt go after 13.5 years. he was sick, in pain and rapidly deteriorating. he took his final breaths in our living room with myself and wife by his side. i haven’t cried like that since i was a kid. he was my dude.

    After just a few days without dogs we decided the house was too empty. so today we adopted these two potatoes. 6 year old basset shepard litter mates. simba and maxi. stubborn, super hungry, goofy, playful. so first day in and it’s been a lot of fun. They have been at the care center by me for almost a year. so good times ahead for these two.

    My dog hated car rides as a puppy, threw up everytime we got in the car. 12 years later, if i'm getting in the truck, she is too.
