Our 18' pontoon boat will be in in a few weeks. The beam is 8'2" so I have a few choices for bolt-on mirrors. But I also want a wireless aux rear-view camera setup for continuous transmission. I've towed a few times before but call myself a novice. I want a camera that will either clip-on to the rear rail or mount in a good location elsewhere. I want either a kit with monitor (best bet) or cobble something together with my phone or a cheap tablet. Any suggestions?

FYI, I won't be towing the boat far but I expect my wife who has no towing experience to learn how and I'll want her help launching/re-trailering it.

If you’re handy with a little bit of wiring, get the anytime backup camera mod that runs through the steering Wheel controls. Set your auxiliary camera on a magnetic or clip mount with a 20’ lead so you can put it wherever you want.

Two presses of the mode button on your steering wheel and your head unit displays your backup camera or auxiliary camera. You can toggle between them. Long press when either is on and it will stay on.
