Those black round things are called Cam Timing Oil Control Solenoid Assembly’s. I’d start by wiping off the grime and verify that the bolts are tight. Edit: welcome to the forum!

Not a direct answer for your problem but you should pull that bracket off and grind a little material off so it cant rub a hole thru the coolant hose, i believe the newer ones were redesigned for a bit more clearance.

I would wipe it clean and keep an eye on it. Count yourself lucky if the timing cover doesn't end up with a leak.

Did they offer some magic in a bottle that could seal that leak for the low price of 3 easy payments of $29.99?

Wondering how many miles on that Taco. That appears to be seeping not leaking. Probably hardened o rings on the solenoids. Easy fix.

I probably ended up grinding about 1/4" off it on my truck as it was making hard contact.

I know this is a VERY old thread but I have this issue now on my 2017 Tacoma. I can't quite nail down where to get the O-Ring required. If you're still out there let me know!
