    Hi Everyone!
I'm Rachelle (PitBulMom), my husband's name is Wade.
We are the owners of a '98 Tacoma SR5, (TRD) 4 wheel drive. We have had her for 20 yrs.
I need some help, with something we have never experienced before.

We replaced the Power Steering Pump, and now the wheels are hard to turn! Also, for some reason that we cannot figure out, and we need some advice. Now we did NOT replace the Reservoir, just the pump itself. When we turn the steering wheel with full weight on the ground, it is pumping fluid out of the cap! Wade says the wheels are hard to turn left and right when the wheels are on the ground, too. It pumps the fluid out both wheels on the ground, or up off the ground.

We have no idea what is wrong. Can someone help us??

Is the screen in the bottom of reservoir clogged with debris?

Thank you! Glad to meet you all!
There was some trash on the screen, but he cleaned all that out, put new hoses and fresh fluid in it. That is when it started pumping fluid out the top.
Is it possible, since the P/'S pump was original, that the cap is bad?? Can you just get the cap??
