For anyone wondering, Softopper keeps the dust and water out. Only place needed to add any seal is the tailgate. The Lund tailgate adhesive bulb gasket and magnets in the flap of the rear panel keeps everything tight.

Mine isn't a Mobtown, had it fabricated locally. I'd be fibbing if I said it wasn't inspired by the Mobtown design. The only trick I can offer is to take everything out of the bed, unfold the softopper, and kinda wiggle it in place.

Since it looks like some people are talking about 3rd brake lights again, Here are the pictures of what I did. Using a 2 pin SAE plug and flush mount I can unplug it and not have wires hanging around.

I have been looking to add a third brake light to my softopper. Would you care to go into a bit more detail on this install?

I picked up a flush mount SEA plug from Amazon, drilled a hole and installed it. It is tapped into my brake lights at the tail light. This is the plug I got

I tapped into my left brake light. IMO, much better than making another whole in the bed - but to each their own!

So. I sold my softopper to help fund my regear. Haven’t been having any luck finding a hard top in my area that has the options I’d like. For an acceptable price.
So might just get another one. This time thinking Tan on my MGM.
Plus I have a bronze wheel paint kit for my wheels I haven’t done yet.

$500ish seems to be the going rate for used softoppers. I sold my 6’ for that much band bought my 5’ for that much as well.

Just a heads up for fellow Virginia residents. Today they told me inspection would fail with the top on and third brake light covered. Passed me the last two years, but I guess this year is different.
Put the top down before inspection

Alright anyone wondering how these things hold up in wind and rain. My newly installed topper just made it through a category 1 hurricane in north central LA. We had ~70mph gusts from about 7am to 3pm, and driving rain all day long. Tons of huge healthy trees and power lines down all over my neighborhood and this thing was solid as a rock. A little bit of water got in near the tailgate but that was only after driving on the interstate with a loose rear flap, as I haven’t decided how I’ll secure it yet. Here are some pics
