    Hello world,

I made an account here just to ask these questions since I can’t seem to find exactly what I’m looking for. I have a 2012 access cab with 90,000 miles, and I am replacing the suspension since its leaning left a bit and pretty soft. I got the stock suspension off a 2020 TRD off road (front shocks, rear shocks, springs), and I have an extra leaf that the previous owner never installed.

I planned to install the shocks, but I wanted to replace the springs with the OME heavy duty leaf spring pack since I will typically be driving around with the topper and a camper build in the back at the very least.

    Questions are-
    1. Will the OME leaf springs work with the stock set of rear shocks that are not adjustable (OME says it adds 2.75” lift)
    2. Would a leveling kit be necessary for the front?
    3. Anyone have any suggestions otherwise?
    4. Could I get the medium duty OME and install the extra leaf I have to make it a bit more heavy duty if I need it?

Trying to not spend a ton of money here since I’m non essential...

Welcome to TW. I’ll try my best to help But I’m no expert.
    1. Using the stock shocks with with the ome springs would work if the rear axle is never gonna see full flex or full droop off-roading. The shocks will act as the axle travel limiter and it will quickly destroy them.
    2. A leveling kit may only be necessary if your not always carrying a lot of weight in the rear. Those 2020 OR coil overs will give a V6 2nd gen one inch lift over stock height. Maybe a half inch or so more being a 4 cylinder due to less weight. So if your not carrying much weight you’ll have a pretty gnarly rake.
    3. If it was mine I would get the medium duty and add a leaf if necessary later on. As for the rear shocks length maybe try to sell them and look for some made for a 2-3 inch lift or just throw them on and ride em till they die while saving for new ones. Hope this helps
