Pulled my 2020 SR5 (without JBL audio) apart this weekend to install this package advertised as plug and play for “2016 and up”. It doesn’t quite work for the 2020.

First, the instructions call for removing 3 bolts from the panel behind the left rear seat. My truck only has two. It does not have the lower center position indicated in the instructions which is used to hang the amplifier, which in turn supports the subwoofer.

I hung the subwoofer anyway, using the two upper bolts, thinking I would jury rig the amp somehow. Went to make the final connections at the head unit and the supplied harness does not match the factory wiring/ head unit connections.

Guess I’ll be on the phone with Crutchfield and/or Alpine tomorrow. Anyone else run into this issue?

And back to Crutchfield she goes! Even Alpine is confused.

4 hours of my Sunday gone, two holes in my new truck, and a paper cut on my thumb. Note to self: check the connections before going through the whole install.
