Coming from a Jeep

    Posted here once or twice asking about a few v6 tacomas I was looking at. Test drove one and wasn’t too satisfied, had the one with the trans shudder, every other one just too expensive as well.

    Narrowed it down to wanting a 4 cylinder 5 speed 4x4. Found a 2015 access cab with 62k miles certified, negotiated in a 5 year extended bumper to bumper and took it home. Really truly enjoy driving it more than the v6 I test drove. Extra ponies just ended up not being worth it for me (about a $4-5k difference and no warranty).

    Would love to do some small lift/slightly oversized tires in the future, just worried about how that effects the powertrain warranty (to 100k). Might just stick with a couple lights and a bed cap. We’ll see how that goes though. Not much off-roading in my area of NJ, and in the 3 years of owning a 2002 wrangler never did it once.

    Will be lurking here for at least the next 5 years haha
