If anyone is interested in this particular exhaust (and how it sounds), I've uploaded a "DIY Install" video on YouTube for those who are curious:

    https://youtu.be/xpVS0RdorHY

Initial thoughts and reviews of the Stromung "Tucker" Exhaust:

The install is pretty simple. Remove 2 exhaust bolts and remove the stock exhaust from 4 exhaust hangers. Hang the new exhaust and install the 2 exhaust bolts.

The sound is really nice. Low deep rumbling sound that is consistent for a V6 Tacoma. Nice and aggressive when accelerating and quiet when cruising at highway speeds. As far as "droning" noises are concerned, when accelerating lightly at highway speeds, you will hear some "droning" in the vehicle cabin as the rpms are increased slightly for acceleration. However, when cruising steadily between 60-80 mph the sound of the exhaust is smooth and I could easily have a conversation with a passenger.

The fitment is excellent. The exhaust tip does come really close to the passenger side frame, but I have yet to hear any rattling. Like I said, the quality of this exhaust is superb and the fitment is excellent! I am personally very happy with the upgrade and I really like the fact that I don't have a tail pipe sticking out at the passenger side rear bumper.

I just wanted to share my experience with anyone who might be interested in this particular setup =)

Had a Stomong on a BMW 325is back in the day. Best sounding exhaust I've ever heard. They seem to specialize in low rumble

Thanks for posting this! This is the first exhaust I've seen that gives you an actual tangible functional benefit, without sounding half bad.

The TRD catback drones mildly cruising at highway speeds. How's this one?
EDIT: Nevermind, you answered this in your original post. I suck at reading.

OP mentions the tip sits close to the frame. I am curious how the fit would be with sliders installed. Does anyone have the "tucker" system installed with sliders?

I don't know 100% for sure, but the tip exits right next to the front end of the passenger rear leaf spring where the frame curves upward...

From the slider installs I've seen on YouTube, it looks like the exhaust wouldn't interfere.

I agree that there is definitely some drone...

Most aftermarket exhaust systems will have drone noises since they're designed to be louder and/or increase exhaust flow.

However, when compared to most options for the Tacoma, the stromung exhaust muffler seemed to be "more robust" than the typical "cylinder looking" mufflers that are barely bigger in diameter in relation to the exhaust piping.

I am looking forward to seeing your M/T review!

Ah, disappointing to hear about the highway drone. Keep us updated on if it improves with sound deadening. I like the concept, but my truck is still a daily driver and I don't want an exhaust that drills into my skull.

I actually never ended up putting sound deadening. I ended up selling the exhaust :(. just a little too much drone for the amount of highway driving i do
