    What about gross combined?
I can't remember what the GCWR was on my '14 Tundra, but that was pre 38 gallon tank and was 1430lbs payload. Was just curious if they upped the GVWR to compensate for the extra fuel weight but it looks like they just took it out of the payload. Sharp looking truck. I miss mine.

I don't see the GCWR anywhere on the truck, i did read it in the vehicle description when i purchased the truck and it stated 16K for GCWR. But i'm not so sure that is true.

wow, strong statement but that's interesting coming from you since it's your job. My neighbor has the Chevy 2.8L turbo diesel & absolutely loves it. I know it tows better than my Tacoma but it just seems like an unexciting vehicle to me. Any thoughts on that motor...?

Not everyone in the field knows what they're talking about. My 06 LBZ Duramax 3/4ton truck was the best most reliable truck I've ever owned. Only had to replace batteries on that thing. I'd say that was low cost to maintain. When I bought it it was not that expensive either. Diesel/Allison Transmission and 4x4 at the time put me way under 45k. You can't buy a new Diesel these days that cheap though so I will give him that. They are expensive NOW.

Sorry my friend, but i have been in the diesel industry for 30 years, 10 years in the military and 20 years working for Caterpillar. To each their own. everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I work on them day in and day out, i just want nothing to do with them when i get home. Oh by the way, i drive a Mercedes Benz Sprinter 3500 with the 3.0 V6 diesel, drives nice, very quiet, plenty of pep for a large van loaded with heavy tools. But when it needs to be repaired or service, lets just say i'm glad i don't have to pay for that bill. It goes to the dealer for a few days, and i just hand the invoice into my office. Usually 5K for repairs minimum and 1k for service.

@gmann1972 and @airsavage has the mpg been as bad as expected coming from a Tacoma? I sat in a 2020 Tundra last night and it felt great, I have been trying to talk myself into a F150 but there's something about Toyota.....

The Taco was giving me about 19 MPG on the highway. I just returned from a 2000 mile round trip from Tennessee to Pennsylvania. My Tundra was giving me between 16.5 and 17.5 MPG going 75 MPH. I was real happy with that MPG. My son-in-law has a 2019 1794 edition and of course he jacked it up and put bigger wheels and tires on it. He said he is getting 13 to 14 MPG.

It's hard to tell what my MPG is so far on the Tundra. My Tacoma was horrible at 14mpg, and I always put 91 octane in the truck. If I was traveling on the highway i may get 15 mpg. I haven't put many miles on my new Tundra yet, only 527 miles so far. I don't use it on a daily basis, I have a company truck for my everyday use. So far, according to the trucks display i have been increasing my MPG. I started out at 10mpg when i bought the truck and I am now getting 12 mpg. This will increase as the truck gets broken in. The rule of thumb is vehicles get broken in at around 2500 miles. Usually you should baby a vehicle in the beginning so the vehicles ECU can calculate your driving habits. I have only filled the truck up once so far since I purchased it 3 weeks ago. I am hoping to get the 16 - 17 mpg. Thats the one thing i HATED about the Tacoma, the MPG's sucked
